Michael Sy

Michael Sy is a Filipino occupational therapist, a health professions educator, and an occupational scientist. He is currently a Senior Researcher at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (Switzerland). Michael is devoted to academic scholarship through journal editing, peer-reviewing, publishing, and thesis examining of graduate students. His research interests include bridging occupational science with occupational therapy, return to work of people with Long COVID, and interprofessional education and practice. In terms of practice, Michael has been involved in helping communities through program development, education, and consultation to highlight the value of parenting and parents in promoting the occupational participation of people with and without disabilities.
